OpenKick Technologies - ‘Open Source Web 2.0' training and incubation power house, sponsored 1st ever Drupal Camp in India which was organized at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT), Gandhinagar from 8-10th August, 2008. More than 150 Drupal lovers from all over the India were participated in Drupal Camp. Even representative of near by 35 companies included Sun Microsystems, Gloscon, HCL, Satyam, OpenKick, TCS, 84 Ideas, Vedic Society, ICPL, Gujarat Hosting, Electromech, ect were also participated in Drupal Camp.

Openkick Technologies - training division of the Gloscon Solutions provides professional training in Open Source softwares. This Ahmedabad based company is showing a lot of promise for growth. Their philosophy of sharing knowledge and the high degree of entrepreneurship within the company has put the company in high growth track.

Speakers from Openkick Technologies were presented some of Innovative and useful session in Drupal Camp. Following were few sessions:

1. Mr. Rajat Gupta, Director of Openkick presented a session on "A road from Novice to Expert". In this session, he educated and familiarized students with Drupal and Drupal Community. He emphasized more on technical part of Drupal.

2. Mr. Ujval Shah, Director of OpenKick Technologies presented a session on "Theming Basics". Here speaker described all the information regarding Theming of Drupal 5 & 6. Even Ujval gave full information on Drupal Theming basics, Understanding tpl files, CCK/Views/Panel and Theming, Cross Browser compliance challenges.

3. Mr. Roshan Shah, Mr. Dheeraj Dagliya and Mr. Rajat Gupta were presented session on "Factors to consider for effort estimate while building a Drupal Site".

4. Mr. Rakshit Maniar, Technical lead, Openkick Techologies and Ms. Anjan Doshi, Sr. Software Developer of Gloscon presented session on "CCK and VIEWS - - create your custom content type" In this session, speakers gave theoretical as well technical information on CCK and views and also solved all doubts and queries which came across in audience mind.

5. Mr. Rajat Gupta, Director-Openkick Technologies, Mr. Roshan Shah-CEO of Gloscon Solution and Mr. Dheeraj Dagliya-of Gloscon Solution, presented session on "Getting Involved in Drupal Community".

The event came to an end with all the participants, both developers and students, committing to organizing the next Drupal Camp in India with more enthusiasm.
