Gloscon Solutions has always been a front runner in spreading word about Drupal in India. It has been investing heavily in organizing seminars, workshops to promote Drupal among students and encouraging them to consider Drupal as an career opportunity, and recently concluded Drupal Camp India 2008.

April 2007

Since inception of the company in April 2007, it has been organizing free seminars on Drupal at its corporate office every month by inviting individuals from corporate sector as well as students. (Announcement of these posts could be seen at http://groups.drupal.org/Ahmedabad) In this 2 hour seminars we use to explain audience what Drupal was all about followed by a practical session on showed them how to have a website running on Drupal.

December 2007

Later in December 2007, we moved to a new office thrice in space with the earlier one. By this time we also started visiting colleges and universities across Gujarat State. We use to explain the open source, described Drupal CMS and gave LIVE Demos. This allowed us access to larger audience. We use to convince students that there are enough opportunities in learning Drupal framework.

We also organized campus interviews to recruit interns and later absorbed them in the company as employees on their successfully completing the training period.

July 2008

When we started these seminars we had handful of people attending it, later it was houseful and generated lot of interest among student community in Gujarat.

We are now receiving inquires from several colleges to organize such training / seminar / workshops for their students. Earlier all expenses for these trainings were born by Gloscon but now colleges are ready to pay for these events. Drupal Camp India & Drupal Conference

March 2008

Gloscon send its team of executives to Drupal Conference Boston 2008. There we got a chance to meet several fellow Drupalites and Dries. Following discussion with several people, we thought of organising a Drupal Camp in India. We got promises from several people for supporting the event (Its different story that few kept the promise). We were determined to organise the Drupal Camp and we started planning for it in May 2008. Finally the camp was organised on 8-10 August 2008. We got to see good participation from across India. August 2008

We started writing articles about Drupal in print media. With the support from "Linux For You", a popular open source magazine the Drupal article series has started from August 2008 issue.

We kept growing and our effort to spread Drupal in India too grew. We are still continuing our effort in this direction to bring this technology for the benefit of masses. Despite several odd we have continued and we will continue our journey for spreading Drupal in India.

We will soon see a force of Drupal Resources coming out in good quality and quantity from Gujarat, India. Many companies have already adopted Drupal as the CMS for their websites.

Drupal based Products

Gloscon also maintains a Community website for Indian Drupalers http://www.drupalindia.in. Gloscon is a product company and has already invested in Drupal based products, Gujjuweb (a Gujarati Community Website), Jaldibol (a Web 2.0 enabled localized Citizen Journalism portal), Gujaratstartups (a resource center and community website for startup enterprises and enterpreneurs) are to name a few.

Drupal Training

Gloscon has established a subsidiary company, Openkick Technologies, dedicated to impart Drupal Training.
